Plan and Implement Assertiveness

Make a list of things to do.

Identify the specific task of assertiveness that you want to attempt.
Determine what you are going to do.
Decide the best way of saying it.
Practice the action.
Anticipate what might go wrong and be prepared.
Keep calm, be polite, stay firm.
Avoid giving explanations particularly long ones as this provides opportunities for people to argue against your action.
Afterwards review your performance.
Learn from the experience and think how it can be improved.
Plan and practice your next action.
Do not give up as change will happen.
